Although it is more known for its great spicy taste in cooking, Cretan Thyme has also great benefits on health. It is recommended against sore throat and coughing. It also reduces cold symptoms. Avoid using during pregnancy.
How to make Thyme Tea for sore throat: Put a half teaspoon of Thyme directly in the bottom of a ceramic tea cup. Add boiling water and let it steep for 3’. Remember to cover your tea cup with a small plate in order to keep all smell and therapeutic benefits inside. Add a teaspoon of honey and lemon juice. Strain and serve. Enjoy it hot.
